Game 2 of the NBA Western Conference Finals is little more than an hour from tip off. The Golden State Warriors will look to rebound from a game 1 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
After only losing at Oracle arena twice all regular season, the Warriors were beaten on Monday night in large part to Russell Westbrook’s 19 point third quarter that turned the tide, after OKC trailed by 13 at the half.
OKC now has three straight wings against the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors, the teams with the two best records in the NBA this season. The defending NBA Champion GSW will look to the two time reigning MVP Steph Curry to lead the team to a game 2 victory.
When asked about the game 1 loss, emotional leader Draymond Green had this response:
“He smiled and said, ‘We ain’t been here before,’ ” Green said Tuesday. “I said, ‘Yeah, I know. I like this. This will be fun.’ Because if you can bounce back from something like this, it makes it all the more sweeter. So I’m relishing this opportunity. This is where you see what you’re really made of. This is where you bounce back and everybody is against you and don’t think you can do it. This is where it gets fun.”
Clearly the Warriors are looking forward to game 2, starting at 6:00 Pacific time.
