Wednesday May 12th history was made in the MLB. Max Scherzer, a pitcher for the Washington Nationals, struck out 20 batters faced in a single game, and he joins four other pitchers to do so. Going into the 9th inning he had 18 strike outs and was very close to the record. The last inning he struck out two and got the last batter to ground out to third base. It is hard enough to strike 1 batter out, let along 20, so you can imagine how crazy this was.
